Commerce Casino offering coverage of L.A. Poker Classic

COMMERCE, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The L.A. Poker Classic at Commerce Casino is in full swing with 51 exciting events on the 2010 schedule. This year, those unable to make it to the World's Largest Poker Room in Los Angeles can be "virtually" there by following all the action closely at CommerceCasino.com.
For the first time in Commerce Casino history, video interviews with poker players, full tournament results, payouts and photos of winners are all available to poker fans. People can also view up-to-the-minute Twitter posts, noting everything from famous faces in the crowd to big poker hands being played, by viewing the LAPC Blog accessed directly from the CommerceCasino.com homepage or LAPCNews.com.
LAPC Tournament Director Matt Savage conducts many of the video interviews from the tournament floor and supplies information for the blog updates. For several years now, the LAPC has been one of the most well-attended events, drawing both top players globally and local enthusiasts. Savage and Commerce Casino constructed an L.A. Poker Classic schedule this year that features 51 events, some new to the LAPC and Commerce Casino, to be conducted in 43 days from Jan. 21 to March 4 -- up from 35 offerings in 2009. Anchored by two major World Poker Tour® (WPT) events, the LAPC will have an estimated $20 million total prize pool, with $3.3 million in guarantees -- the largest amount ever put forth by Commerce Casino
Poker players don't necessarily need thousands of dollars to join in the competition at Commerce Casino's 2010 L.A. Poker Classic. Thanks to an extensive number of Satellite, Supersatellite and Megasatellite opportunities, many people will have a chance to play in major events by investing only a little money. There are also five events planned for 2010 where winners will be awarded a seat to one of three LAPC $10,000 events in addition to their winnings.
